A moment to prepare the mind and body, the winter solstice

December 22 is the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year.

The sun is the source of life that brings light.
The sun is going to get stronger again from this day.
For these reasons, people have long regarded the winter solstice as an important moment change of old and new.

It might be a good occasion to reset our mind and body.

On the night of the winter solstice, we get warmed in “Yuzu-yu”, which is known as Yuzu in a bath.
The habit actually comes from purification.
Before the day of “一陽来復” (ichi-you-rai-fuku), meaning the end of winter and fortune raising, people purified themselves in order to get rid of evil spirits.

Yuzu has a bright yellow color like a symbol of the sun.
You can expect blood circulation and relaxation by aroma of Yuzu.

Let’s make our day with no bustles and tune up our mind and body to get ready for the coming new fortune.
